*Creating an open user interface framework for spacecraft interaction. The OpenSpace project is an exploration of how interaction design can play a larger role in today's space industry and shape the future of spacecraft operations. OpenSpace is a design-driven investigation into the digital tools used in spacecraft operations today. While space technology evolves rapidly, the software interfaces used to operate it often remain fragmented, outdated, or difficult to use. This project asks: How can interaction design help close that gap? Inspired by the practice, philosophy, and impact of the OpenBridge Design System, OpenSpace brings a user-centered mindset to the space domain. Just as OpenBridge transformed maritime operations through open and collaborative design, OpenSpace explores how similar principles could improve workflows, reduce cognitive load, and support better situational awareness for satellite operators. Developed in close collaboration with space professionals and engineers, OpenSpace highlights the urgent need for more intuitive, efficient, and mission-ready interfaces and demonstrates what becomes possible when design is embedded from the very beginning.*
